Earthy, neutral warm pigments were the inspiration for this romantic rose clay + terra cotta wedding held in the quaint brick courtyard of 563 King that's nestled in the heart of downtown Charleston, SC. The venue grounds were surrounded by towering cypress trees that created an intimate and warm environment for the festivities.
The tablescape was adorned with whimsical blooms and warm sand candles. Our rattan Paradise Island Barrel Chairs and woven bamboo Tiki Hut Chairs added an unexpected bohemian flare for the guest seating.
The invitation suite from Paper Refinery incorporated soft watercolor blush pigments paired with artful modern die cut shapes and bold typography. Our favorite paper detail was the romantic stencil portrait of two lovers about to kiss! The gorgeous cake from Annie’s Cakes used blended neutrals to create a vintage patina effect on the petite square cake adorned with a cluster of fresh flowers.
The reception lounge area echoed the florals and tablescape perfectly by incorporating an earthtone neutral palette of rose clay, peachy beige, rust, sand and terra cotta. Our blush pink velvet French Kiss Sofa adorned with copper and peach accent pillows anchored the vignette. We paired it with our Shelly Coffee Table, C'est La Vie Rug, and the Legally Blonde Settee and Chairs.
The wedding ceremony featured a hand-painted rose clay textured backdrop by JRD Art Shop with a verdant floral crescent archway that created a whimsical forest design. We were so impressed by Festoon's artful arrangement of fresh blooms, dried foliage and textured grasses!
This poetic wedding story culminated in a Grand Exit with a vintage pink getaway car – a ‘91 Figaro that goes by the name of The Pink Figgy Thanks so much to Haley McCarrell of Willow & Oak Events who coordinated and styled the wedding theme, to The Shootout Society, and to the incredible team of Charleston vendors listed below who helped bring this beautiful wedding vision to life!
